Teaching about the Eatwell Guide in schools.

As mentioned in a previous blog (https://foodandhealthteacher.com/2016/03/17/the-eat-well-plate/)  the eatwell plate has now been replaced by the eatwell guide.

I am currently working on a range of lesson plans to ensure that the messages are taught consistently across the food department and that pupils understand the reasons for these changes.

In the meantime, here is a PowerPoint I have used with my A level groups to critique the eatwell plate and to explain the key features of the eatwell guide.
